scooptraxfy is a specialist UK course covering live production decks and control rooms — multi-camera switching, live broadcasting technique, real-time video operation and the professional management of television and streaming productions.
Our story
scooptraxfy started in a rented broadcast gallery outside Manchester, where a small group of working technical directors were frustrated by how few UK courses taught real control room operation. Most training focused on theory; almost none put trainees behind an actual switcher during a live, timed production.
We built our first cohort around a single studio floor, three cameras and one vision mixing desk. Every session ended with a full live-to-tape run, cut and directed entirely by trainees. That format is still the backbone of every course we run today, now across three UK studio locations.
Our mission
We exist to close the gap between broadcast theory and studio-floor reality. Every trainee leaves scooptraxfy able to sit in a control room on day one of a production job, confident in switching decisions, camera coordination and real-time studio communication.
That mission shapes every part of the course: small cohorts, working mentors, hands-on equipment and a curriculum built directly from current UK broadcast and streaming production workflows.

Real Studio Pressure
Every trainee rehearses live switching calls, cue timing and camera coordination under genuine broadcast conditions, not scripted exercises.

Our instructors are active technical directors and vision mixers who bring current production workflows straight into the studio.

We cap every intake at 12 trainees so each person gets meaningful console time and direct, individual feedback.
